European Ministers Encourage Lower Insurance.
Car insurance premiums in the Europe are continuing to rise. This is causing an increase in the number of uninsured drivers on the road. Bespoke Insurance Policies
Some insurance companies are offering bespoke policies. These are policies where the customer can choose exactly which options they want with the car insurance. Customers start with a basic policy: Comprehensive, Third Party or Third Party Fire and Theft. Next, they are able to choose additional cover. Additional cover may include windscreen cover, legal cover, medical fees cover, breakdown cover, courtesy car, no claims discount protection, personal property replacement and extension to drive other cars. Many insurance companies will add these extras to their policies and disallow their customers from opting out. This means many people pay too much for their car insurance policies because they are paying for things they do not need.
Shop Around
Different insurance companies will offer different priced policies depending on the characteristics of the driver. For instance, some may favour older drivers, while others spread the cost of the risk associated with younger drivers across their customer base, meaning everybody pays a little more, except the younger drivers who pay less than they ordinarily would. It is important to find the companies that cater specifically to you, and to do this you must shop around.
